The Poker Difference by Chris Moneymaker has been on the market for some time. It is one of those books that people seem to buy because they want to be more educated about the game of poker. It is an interesting read, but unfortunately it doesn't do much to help people improve at the game. What is so wrong about this book?
The main problem is that it focuses on the negative aspects of poker rather than focusing on the positive aspects. While it is true that the world of poker is one of the most exciting games to play, it does have its fair share of bad apples. Some people are simply bad at the game, and they end up ruining it for the rest of the players, not to mention their own financial situations.
What the author fails to realize is that the real "big fish" in the world of poker is usually the guy or gal who knows how to get in and get out. The "bad apple" theory in this case completely misses the point of what makes a real "bad apple". Sure, there are bad apples, and some people are bad poker players, but not all of them are. That's just part of the game.
What this book does is tell you a few tips that will hopefully get you on the right track towards becoming a great poker player. Most of these tips will help you improve your game, but only a few will help you make the big money. I was expecting something more like the MoneyMaker Methodology.
If you look at the author's website, you will find that he has published a book called The MoneyMaker Methodology. This book was written by Mike Dillard, who has made quite a name for himself as a trainer and an author. He is a very successful poker player and has also helped many others with their poker learning. The MoneyMaker Methodology looks to give you tips and strategies that will help you become a better poker player. It is different from the MoneyMaker Approach in that it focuses on showing you what actually works in the game.
The MoneyMaker Approach focuses primarily on teaching you how to play the game and not on showing you ways to improve on your game. This approach is clearly not suited for everyone, but is good for people who are trying to improve at the game. Even if you are a pro poker player already, I would recommend that you take a look at the MoneyMaker Approach and see if it has anything for you.
